What are the hours of operation?
Our standard hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on statutory holidays and during certain school breaks. Please refer to the school calendar for specific closure dates.
Is Hope Montessori Academy licensed?
Yes, Hope Montessori Academy is fully licensed by the Fraser Health Authority in accordance with British Columbia’s Child Care Licensing Regulations.
What is your student-to-teacher ratio?
We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure personalized attention for each child. Typically, our ratio is 1 teacher to 8 children, adhering to Montessori principles and provincial licensing requirements.
How can I enroll my child?

Do you provide meals and snacks?
No, parents are responsible for providing their child with a nut-free lunch and snacks each day. We do not provide snacks or meals at the academy.
Is there a nap time for children?
Yes, nap time is scheduled for children who require rest during the day. We provide a quiet, comfortable environment for children to nap. If your child does not nap, they will engage in quiet activities during this time.
Do you accommodate children with special needs?
Hope Montessori Academy welcomes children of all abilities. We work closely with families to understand the unique needs of each child and provide individualized support where possible. However, we encourage parents to contact us directly to discuss any specific requirements before enrollment.
How do you ensure the safety of the children?
The safety and security of our students are top priorities. We follow strict safety protocols, including:

What is your sick child policy?
To ensure the health and well-being of all students and staff, we ask that parents keep their children home if they exhibit signs of illness such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious conditions. Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school. We follow guidelines provided by the health authorities to prevent the spread of illness.
What happens if my child gets sick or injured while at school?
In case of illness or injury, we will contact parents/guardians immediately. If necessary, we will provide First Aid, and in serious cases, emergency services will be contacted. Please ensure your emergency contact details are up-to-date to facilitate quick communication.
Do you have outdoor play?
Yes, outdoor play is an essential part of our daily routine. Weather permitting, children have access to outdoor activities twice a day. Our outdoor space includes a safe, fenced playground designed to encourage physical activity, exploration, and socialization.

At Hope Montessori Academy, we use positive discipline techniques, focusing on guiding children toward understanding the consequences of their actions and making better choices. We promote problem-solving, self-regulation, and respect for others. Physical punishment or harsh verbal correction is never used.

What is your withdrawal policy?
If you wish to withdraw your child from Hope Montessori Academy, we require written notice on the first day of the calendar month. Tuition fees for the current month are non-refundable, but any future fees that have been prepaid will be refunded in accordance with our withdrawal policy.

We follow the Montessori curriculum, which is designed to foster independence, creativity, and a love of learning. Our program includes activities in language development, mathematics, practical life skills, sensory exploration, and cultural studies.
